Wine Tasting Weekend Breaks to France

We organise Wine Tasting weekends, breaks and short trips, whether it’s for a large group of 50 plus high achievers and their spouses or for a smaller group of 8 to 20. Although we travel to most of the world’s wine producing areas, the majority of our holidays concentrate on regions in France.

For an example we have set out some proposals for 'long weekend' trips to Avigon in France :

» for a group of 20 - 50 people
also a Spouses Programme, and

» for a group of 8 - 20 people

We also include a list of 4* hotels in Avignon and St Remy with the number of rooms and indicative prices. We also have a series of 3* hotels we can use if necessary.

The vineyards that are included in the programmes are there because we know them to make great wine, to be friendly and welcoming and where the winemaker/owner would be involved in the visit.

We can also add many other vineyards to the ones mentioned, especially if you wanted the Cote de Ventoux, or the Gard (as being more unusual), or more Chateauneuf du Pape and Gigondas - bigger names.

Additional vineyard possibilities:

1. Chateau de la Nerthe – Chateauneuf du Pape (can accommodate up to 50)
2. Vieux Telegraphe – Chateauneuf du Pape (up to 50)
3. Domaine de St Ameillaud, Cairanne (up to 50)
4. Domaine de Santa Duc. Gigondas (up to 50)
5. Clos de Caillou. Chateauneuf du Pape (up to 50)
6. Domaine de Fondreche Cote de Ventoux (up to 50)
7. Domaine de la Bastidonne, Cotes de Ventoux (up to 50)
8. Chateau Pesquie Cote de Ventoux (up to 50)

There are many other possibilities for recreational trips. For example:-

* sail on the Rhone to/from Chateauneuf du Pape – how about a sail back and dine on the boat in the evening;
* degustation in a spectacular setting – e.g. Le Vieux Moulin at Villeneuve les Avignon; the medieval home of Inter-Rhone, the organisation charged with promoting Rhone wines;
* spend more time in the vineyards to walk in the vines, spend more time learning about the processes used
* for the more academic, a full day at the Universite de Vin in Suze la Rousse - which could provide a tasting course on Cotes du Rhone wines and a cookery demonstration for spouses.

We have similar programmes for Bordeaux, Burgundy, Champagne, Alsace etc. If you would like us to provide a quotation for you, please with your requirements.
