Spouse's Programme - example itinerary

Friday
09:00	Chocolatier - Chateauneuf du Pape Visit the chocolatier Castellane for tour of the factory and tasting of specialities. Walking tour of Chateauneuf du Pape and visit the Chateau.
12.30	Lunch with others at Mourchon.
14.30	Vaison la Romaine Visit local producers of honey and olive oil. or Guided tour of the Roman city of Vaison la Romaine. Possibility of guided tour related to Roman food and wine, including preparation of a Roman meal.

Saturday
10:30	Food markets of Avignon Accompanied walking tour to savour the tastes and smells of the provencal market around the medieval walls of the city and the covered market of Les Halles.
12:30	Lunch in cafe
14:00	Visit Palais des Papes with guide Guided tour of the 13th century Palais with English speaking guide. or Cookery lesson at la Mirande (depending on availability) La Mirande is a beautiful hotel in a building dating back to the 14th century, located just behind the Palais des Papes. www.la-mirande.fr
16:30	Dinner with rest of group.

Sunday
	To Cassis with the rest of the group. Sail to the Clanaques (spectacular ‘fjords’with crystal clear turquoise water).
	Lunch with rest of group.

Note:
This programme has been designed to use the same vehicle for the wine tasting visit and the spouses' programme. This will obviously keep costs down. If expense is not an issue a totally separate programme could be designed specifically around the 'petit producteurs'of the region - tasting goats' cheese, olive oil, honey, chocolate, cookery classes etc.
